Reseeting a Root password on Centos with Knoppix LiveCD

Hi Anyone,

I am new to Linux. A Linux Administrator left the company and took with him the root password of a Centos server.
How can I boot with a Linux livecd to find/change the root password.

Help greatly appreciated.
