I enabled the grid plugin and it works as expected, when i drag windows to the left it snaps half the windows to the left, when i snap it to the right it snaps half the window to the right, when i drag to to top it fills the whole screen everything ok until there but when i drag s maximized window down it dosen't unmaximise or restore. Any way to solve this?

Just for option i would like to see xfce and updated compiz because the grid plugin in compiz dosen't unmaximize for me when dragging windows down also a little application to change the window border themes too! ALSAEqual from debian repositories without having to run

sudo apt-get update to update the repositories
whould be cool, too.

Compiz within Knoppix is a special version of KK. You cannot update it using the Debian repositories. You may use
http://debian-knoppix.alioth.debian.org/packages/compiz/?C=M;O=A

But it's only a job for experienced users.

Thanks for merging the threads(also do you really consider adding XFCE?). By the way I was messing around with ccsm and i realized there is nothing wrong with it, just this option was disabled by default:231
Another question do you know how to save the sound volume automatically on shutdown? Everytime i start the computer in knoppix the sound volume is at 100% and i have to change every single time so it dosent get insanely loud(nothing wrong with ALSA equalizer plugin that one load just fine)
