I just saw at HardOCP that there are new Linux radeon drivers based on the Catalyst series. They look like they support Xfree 4.1, 4.2, & 4.3? and seem to download as RPMs.

Has anyone tried these out with knoppix? Which ones would you need, and could it be automated similar to what they've done with the Nvidia drivers. [where a script loads them at startup?]

Look here for the driver page! http://www.ati.com/support/products/workstation/fireglx1/linux/fireglx1linuxdrivers.html?type=linux&prodType=firegl&prod=fireLinBedriver&submit.x=14&submit.y=6
