after running knoppix, does it leave any residue on the system, like a HD footprint or small partition? or is it exactly the way it was before?

after running knoppix, does it leave any residue on the system, like a HD footprint or small partition? or is it exactly the way it was before?
KNoppix doesn't touch the hardrive unless you tell it too by right clicking on the hardrive and selecting change read/write then wrting something.
