how to boot hd udb knoppix with a cd?

well i posted a topic related before, i've worked around this,

i 'm using clusterknoppix on an usb hd, kernel 2.4.27, and i think i need to customize the initrd/linuxrc

in this way it should load the modules i need (maybe:-) ).

I use the grub bootloader with : boot/grub#ls

e2fs_stage1_5 menu.lst minix_stage1_5 stage1 stage2_eltorito
jfs_stage1_5 menu.lst~ reiserfs_stage1_5 stage2 xfs_stage1_5

in boot i have all the img needed.

the menu.lst is:

title Cluster
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.27-om-20040808 root=/dev/sda1 ro
initrd /boot/initrd.img-2.4.27-om-20040808-modprobe
boot

i made an iso and burned on a cd to boot:

when i boot with cd i see that it recognizes the cd , hda >hda1 hda2 hda2 ecc...

then kernel panic .... it's unable to mount root

i hope i can solve this with your help......

PS: why doesn' t exist an iso to do this? it could be a good thing for future release.....
