huzzah codes!
What exactly are cheat codes, ive noticed them mentioned. Are they used to change settings or get into hidden features of knoppix?
I was wondering where you insert them, is there a linux equivalent of command prompt for them :?
Also is there a control panel for simple tasks like changing desktop backgrounds and so on, or does all stuff like that require code or cheats?

Cheat codes are provide for entry into the boot prompt to enable non-standard boot activities such as ...boot from HDD...establish persistent home configuration and install to ram. These are a few of the many codes provided.
Please look for the list of cheat codes by inserting "cheat codes" in the SEARCH option for this Knoppix Forum. Alternatively, on the internet enter "Knoppix cheat codes".
Best to you. In Kde, the background can be changed, search for it in the Kde options.
