I don't quite understand why you want to install harddrake on knoppix but try this:
wget http://torsion.org/witten/debian/har...9.1-1_i386.deb
su
dpkg -i harddrake_0.9.1-1_i386.deb
For this to work you have to run from the hd. Unionfs works on some knoppix versions, but not 3.9

Often, those packages call for system files to be placed in directories that either don't exist on your distro, or are in a different place.
