I got a copy of Knoppix with a book. It is a great live CD. I prefer it to
Ubuntu. How does one login as the Root ? I need to change some file permissions in order to run Perl Scripts. Is there a code sequence you must enter at the Boot UP Prompt ? I have tried to login as Root once
the program is loaded but it requests a PassWord.
There is no password when running from the LiveCD.
Open a terminal (konsole) window and type:
su
When you get prompted for the password just press <enter>
and you should then be logged in as root.
