How to Recognize my cable internet connection

How do I get Knoppix to recognize and use my cable modem ethernet connection?

In the sprit of the minimal information that you have given us, it likely already has. Put a URL into the Konquror window that opened when Knoppix was booted.

It IS working now...I don't know what was going on before.
