Thin client help

Well, I've been wondering, how do you run programs on client or on server?
The thin-client howto's aren't at all helpful. :(

I'm planning on a server (that's also a workstation) and a few older, maybe P1 computers,
which would do most of computing on the server, but some on themselves.

They do have hd's, but will boot the root sys from network.

Yep, I have been there.
It's just a program suite..

I really would like to know how to do that, since the P1s
won't be powerful enough to run everything.
