Changing "temp folder" ??
Greetings Is there a way to change the "TEMP folder" to another hd_DISK? Somewhat like when working with "k3b" for those who have already needed it for old laptops). It would be convenent when copying very large Files_Directories. I work essentially in live_knoppix or likely so with "usb_flash installed (using "knoppix.img) I have a 1_Go_Ram_Memory which suffices almost all time but not sometimes. Some Live CD (not linux ones in my knowledge) offer this possibility. Thanks knp
Temp Folder or Swap file (folder)?
Hi This is a complement for my Post. In (very) old versions (5.1.* for example) it was possible to solve this kind of "problem" by CREATING "swap files on freely choosen Disks! So my question should be equivalent to this one: How to create "SWAP files on freely choosen Disks" for recent versions (6* and 7*) ? Thanks knp
