New to Koppix/Linux, no problem booting from CD and I like the OS, I only have one small problem I have not been able to decipher. I want to use 800 x600 instead of 1024 x768. Any suggestions?

you can use a cheatcode at the boot prompt. When you put in the koppix cd you will see a prompt that looks like:
boot:
At the prompt type knoppix screen=800x600
That should work although the modelines and clocks for 800x600 may not be in there as I have never tried lowering the resolution :) (yay 1280x1024!). Good Luck!
I boot my laptops with
knoppix screen=800x600 vga=788 ... the rest of the cheatcodes
this allows X to work on the 800x600 lcd and makes the tty usable as well (alt-F1 to F6)
