well, i wont even try to translate dallas7, I'll try to answer the question myself: In order to browse the web, you must have an internetconnection... I guess you understand that. Well, did u set one up? no? then do so...
there are in the menu options to set up an cable, dial-up or network-connection.
and what do u mean by wanting to 'set up the root'?
if u mean you have an internetconnection configured, and it doesnt work, check if everyting is ok - right password etc etc. try using both mozilla and konqueror, and maybe email. and didnt the connection give an errormsg? at least it should...
if it still doesnt work, try downloading the latest (3.3) knoppix, that might work.
If you're serious about using knoppix you'll want to install it to the HD. to do so let knoppix load and then press cntrl, alt, F1. when promted for login type root. and at pass word hit enter. Then type "knx-hdinstall". Be carefull you could mess the whole system up so if you got seriously important files you will want to research EXACTLY how this is done and make backups.
Once installed you will want to click the K button at the bottom and in the section labeled internet there is tab labeled more applications or something like that. The program you want to use to set up your internet with is KPPP. You do need to know the info in order to set it up. Happy surfing.
