I want to install an ATI driver, but dpkg says s.th. like lib...s1.2o cannot be overwrite. Is there a -force command for dpkg available like for rpm?

--force-overwrite will do what you want although you should see if you can find a .deb you can install or check Gatos to see what they have. BTW you should backup the file you are trying to overwrite so you can restore it if something goes wrong.Quote:
