Skip X ?

Hello,

Is it possible to load the shell of Knoppix without loading X ?
Maybe a cheatcode at bootup, so i get straight to the bash-shell.

forgive me if this is me being dumb... but isnt that what "knoppix 2" does? it starts you at the command prompt....
