mkisofs/knoppix crashes
Hi!
I am remastering my 3.2er Knoppix, but when my 'KNOPPIX' file
Code:
mkisofs -R -U -V "KNOPPIX.net filesystem" -P "KNOPPIX www.knoppix.net" -hide-rr-moved -cache-inodes -no-bak -pad /mnt/hda4/knxsource/KNOPPIX | nice -5 /usr/bin/create_compressed_fs - 65536 > /mnt/hda4/knxmaster/KNOPPIX/KNOPPIX
is almost done, mkisofs crashes at 98%, and the screen freezes.
Nothing i can do then instead of hardreset.
Computer is a P2 350 HP Kayak with 256 MB Ram.
The problem had appeard last week for the first time, before i remastered Knoppix successfuly.
Now i added two new applications, could it be that my iso is now too big and thats the reason for crashing?
help, i am stuck.
TIA

Have you used and activated your swap file?
i found that mine did summin similar wen i was doin the mkisofs
after i activated the swapfile everything ran through fine

mmmh, i neverever activated my swap file on Knoppix....
Isn't it so that the swap is activated by default?
anyway, i will try it.
