Assuming your default runlevel is 5 (check /etc/inittab), the following should do:
You can probably achieve the same using the kde sysV init editor tool,Code:ln -s /etc/init.d/kdm /etc/rc5.d/S99kdm
but I am more used to the CLI.
You can try dpkg-reconfigure kdm I believe there is a question that asks if you want to start KDM at boot or update-rc.d kdm defaults should get you the proper default startup links.Quote:
