The new one works great, I have had no problems with my system, or the one that I just built for my buddy, it works great from the CD... I don't even have the issue from the screwed up scsi Driver with the Serial ATA/ MCP chipset issue any more, I just insert and boot.

Try the overclockix cd with integrated NVIDIA drivers ....

Because I cater to hardware enthusiasts and overclockers, Nforce2 support has been a major point for all versions of Overclockix. Until I can update the 2.6 kernel, Nforce2 nic's will only work in Overclockix's 2.4 kernel.

Sadly Overclockix development has stalled out temporarily. I don't have a net connection at home right now since I just moved across the country and am still getting a job and getting settled (and married!!! :o ).
Anyway, a third release version of Overclockix 3.4 will soon replace the two current iso's. The only real change will be a bugfix for the custom desktop configs.
Version 3.4 is the one I recommend right now. Only major issue is that there wasn't room for openoffice.
3.4_V2 has openoffice, but no XFCE. Also all the custom desktops will only work if you hdd-install, which is a major bummer.
Soon-to-be-released 3.4_V3 will be the same as V2, but the custom desktop configs will work when run live from CD. I also might update the kernels to be the same as the current version of Knoppix 3.4 (2.6.5 instead of 2.6.1).
I do have one helper (overdoze) who has been maintaining the Overclockix_LTSP release which is a specialized remaster of Knoppix 3.3 that is setup for folding@home using the Linux terminal server (LTSP) to PXE-boot diskless clients.
