Toshiba Satellite won't boot Knoppix (not even failsafe...)

--In one case, I have gotten Mepis to work where an older version of Knoppix refused to boot: (this was on my parents new HP 2.5GHz)

--In that case, the cheatcodes " failsafe 2 " worked...

--And altho I ordered the CD, I haven't tried it myself yet; but you could always try Ubuntu live-cd.

just tried it i have the same problems!!!

i wonder if mepis is debian based, if so thats the problem debian based distro's and toshiba.

i have tried a redhat based one and that worked!, but as a whole the distro sucked.. need to find a better one
