I found this on some ftp server :
* V3.1-2003-02-26a (CeBit edition)
- Lots of updates and bugfixes
- KDE 3.1 from ktown.kde.org/~nolden/ (woody)
- removed desktop=gnome option until a working gnome configuration is available
- added home=device and myconfig=device (alternate: home=scan myconfig=scan)
bootoption for persistent homedir and persistent configuration
- evolution 1.2.1
- removed some older games and packages to gain space
- openoffice 1.0.2 (german and english)
but I suspekt that 3.2 will have gnome added again. :) when there the stable pack's is out.

Probably a stupid question, but how do I convert the above mentioned .bin file into and iso image? Any hints are appreciated, especially for use with KonCD.

Why not use a Bin2Iso converter program. Just search for it in google.
