No problems detected, I could run 4.02 without cheatcodes.

hangs during boot, use cheatcode knoppix nopcmcia, system boots and runs, sound and
display work (nvidia on board)
small update, the nic isn't activated by knoppix but it does find the wireless and works with the wireless (intel pro 2200BG)
internal nic is detected by knoppix as a Marvell ethernet controller (10/100/1000) I haven't tried any modules yet

works but does not recognize the networkcard, funny enough it does see the wireless card
and works with it. Tablet pen does not work. Bluetooth not recognized (might be a defective card)
no cheatcodes nessecary
update 17-2-06, also tested with DSL on my usb watch boots and works from the usb stick with
DSL 2.1 but no networksupport whatsoever, no wifi and no nic.

Please note that the L10 is not a real Toshiba on the inside, it is a clone with

Fully working, all onboard devices work with Knoppix 4.02
However, for good performance I would allways use the cheatcode
Knoppix dma because in some rare cases (not sure if this is a firmware problem since
the 6000 knows 2 firmwares) knoppix will fail to install, reinstalling with knoppix dma
solves the problem. (also works with Suse 9.1 and Knoppix 3.6)
No bluetooth module available for testing
60x0 series P4 celeron (tulatin), cd or dvd (this means 6050 and 6070)

solves the problem unfortunatly this doesn't allways work well. Probably the combination
mainboard and videocard causes knoppix to mallfunction, install goes well but after install the
system boots and quits with Kernel panic BUT, installing another distro goes without problems

only one problem, after install the "kernel panic" problem, I reinstalled with but this time booted
with the cheatcode knoppix dma and then ran the install script. Problem did not return and the
system still runs perfectly.

Tested with, Knoppix 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.6, 3.7, 3.81 and 4.02
Works with all versions but 3.6, 3.7 and 3.81 have wireless problems.
System is a PIII 800mhz (series goes from PIII 700 up to 1ghz, all celeron versions are 650 and 750 in europe mostly)
14" tft Trident XP/ai 16mb video card
No problems, works straight out of the box.

Portege R100, ultra thin notebook, Centrino 1ghz, very light very cool but won't install knoppix through
the pcmcia cdrom, it boots from it but drops down to a limited shell, I've tried the cheatcode
Knoppix ide2=0x180 nopcmcia
Mandriva installs without problem, so using the data from mandriva I found out that the pcmcia cdrom is located
not at 0x180 but at 0x100, alas no effect.
It could be possible to use Knoppix 4.02 on the R100 but not without loading additional modules through the usb fdd.
The story will continue :-) I haven't tried all options yet.
Update April 2006, I've done it. Knoppix can be installed but difficult, you need to activate the pcmcia slots, which means booting by usb floppy. However, Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger" activates the pcmciaslot during install (both the live and the install cd) and activates everything onboard. Knoppix 4.02 can be installed but with more work (build a boot disk with the pcmcia modules....) Not easy but doable. At this time my R100 test machine is running Ubuntu Debian.
This is a kernel bug from running 32bit linux on a 64 system, not sure if it has been fixed by now but it sounds like u have the nx6125 like me. (i had the same problems)Quote:

HP nx6125 brilliant system Linux supports bluetooth, wlan DVD-/+RW and graphics card fine in Mandriva 2006 64bit edition, doesn't support card reader/finger print sensor and I have not tested tv-out/exoansion slots in system but linux identifies them. No modem support but its a winmodem an am on the network in uni (10Mb/s yey!).
Knoppix didn't support X on my system back in version 3.x but i am burning the 4.0.2 DVD now and will post any success failiure i have, as i say linux works, may just be lack of drivers thats holding back knoppix as that supports everything from the command line :).
Linux has better/comparable support of the laptop as windows under 64bit, pain 2 get windows64 workin on it from what av read but am not going to bother 2 try.

On my Compal DL70 (aka ChemUSA Chembook 2070) with the following specs:
1.73 GHz Pentium M
1GB RAM
128MB Mobility Radeon X600
1680x1050 resolution
Intel Pro Wireless 2915ABG
First, the KNOPPIX-based live CDs I used.
In the KNOPPIX 4.0.1 DVD, it gets to the splash screen as usual. Loads until video driver for my Radeon is not found, then continues with vesa driver at 1024x768. Intel Pro Wireless 2915ABG and Realtek wired NIC work right away, no support for my Winmodem, and volume and hot keys don't work. Tried several of the suggestions in this forum to get 1680x1050, but no results.
With KANOTIX 2005.4, things get better. Loads with xorg ati driver and starts with 1024x768. The "sudo fix-res 1680x1050" command and Ctrl+Alt+Backspace fixes the resolution problem. Wired and wireless NICs work out of the box. Winmodem is detected as an slmodem by knet and dials successfully, but I don't hear it dial. Volume and hot keys don't work.
DSL 2.1b doesn't detect my Winmodem or stretch to the resolution. IPW2915ABG and Radeon might work fine if I use the packages in the DSL repository, but I don't want to write an xfree86 config file from scratch or configure the ipw drivers. Wired NIC works fine.
Here are the other live CDs not based on KNOPPIX that I've used:
Ubuntu 5.10 has similar results to KANOTIX. The xorg ati driver loads right away to 1680x1050. Wired and wireless NICs work out of the box. No Winmodem support. Volume and hot keys don't work at all.
Linspire 5.0.69 (live version is free [gratis], but install version is not) required me to enter the xdriver=vesa cheatcode by pressing e, e, the cheatcode, Enter, and b. If I didn't do that, it would crash at a black screen, which resulted in XP Pro doing a chkdsk. Once I did get it loaded, the resolution was 1024x768. ipw card works fine, but I didn't test the wired NIC. I hope the Linspire developers make a fix to this problem soon.
