Knoppix 3.2 has now KDE 3.1 and "persistant home" - a way to save
the configuration also on hd and USB-Memory-Sticks.
Cheers,

PS: There isn't 3.2 on the ftp-mirrors yet

Visit the CeBIT 12.03-19.03.2003 if you can't wait to get 3.2
"ISO-Images will be available after CeBit on the official mirrors, shortly after CeBit." This means still 11 days to wait ....
... this is a cool trick to visit Klaus himself at CeBIT

- AOL, pressing Knoppix on their CDs (First time of a usefull AOL-CD)
- "Financial Times" or "The Economist" with Knoppix-CD inside
- Broadcasting Knoppix via shortwave worldwide (www.drm.org)(would take about 5 days 8 hours) about twice a year.
 The Knoppix fun / hype is just beginning

Will XFree 4.3 make it to Knoppix 3.2?
Will it?
Would you please add generic thumb drive driver module to 3.2? Please, please?
still wouldn't support linux
Even if AOL put Knoppix on a CD, they still wouldn't support Linux clients on AOL! You still wouldn't be able to connect to AOL with the Linux disc.
Although, you'd think by now with the succes of Mozilla that they'd build in some kind of Linux/ alt OS support. As much as people dog it, the extra content [streaming music, secured kids areas, services] they provide is worth the little extra dime. If only they'd get their heads out [of their B()##] and sell internet connection rather than some cable/network/telcom wannabe!

Well, maybe this is better - Which Linuxer would like to use AOL?
The question was what we whant to see, I wrote that I whant to see
Knoppix on every > 400MB free space on discs. When AOL-CDs stays
useless, nevermind - there many more free CDs in normal magazins,
which can use Knoppix.

PS: The Cebit will open in 8 hours, I'm anxious to know when the first
people will anouced that they have a 3.2 iso publiced on their server.
In 20, 44 hours?
using BitTorrent for early dist. of 3.2
I know 3.2 is going to be out there soon and all the mirrors will be jammed up. Can I suggest of using BitTorrent for releasing ... or even early releases (before the mirrors). I think BitTorrent will eliminate any bandwidth issue for an early release.

Can't wait to see 3.2!!!
just my 2 cents...
Min
ftp site...is it updating?
The knoppix mirror ftp site:
http://mirror.usu.edu/mirrors/knoppi...=ACCEPT+%3E%3E
gives:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /mirrors/knoppix/ on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Updating with 3.2 maybe??!?!
Change Logs would be nice....
Yep... I agree ... change logs would be nice...
then a least I can see if Kismet has been updated or not on the new version.
Thanks
