i do have a usb scanner 'Mustek 1200 UB plus'. according to sane's webpage, it is supported and the firmware is sbfw.usb. the problem is that i can not find what is the procedure to install the scanner to my system. could spomebody help me please?

I have looked for two years for a workable solution for this and finally here is how to get Mustek going in WinXP...

Do the following
1. start regedit

2. about HKLM/software/Microsoft/Windows NT/current version

change the key "product name"
from Microsoft Windows XP
into Microsoft Windows 2000

3. install the Mustek driver for Windows 2000

4. undo the changes in the registry.

DONT!!! reboot untill you have changed the product key back to windows XP.
It works fine so far I know on the 1200 CU on XP Pro, the 1200 UB on WinXP Home and the 1200 UB Plus on Win XP Home.
