Nforce 2 driver/USB driver

I have a Abit NF7-S motherboard with the nforce 2 chipset, with integrated ethernet, usb, and so on.

Is there a driver i can use to get my USB to work. I am trying to take a backup of my hdd that totally crashed, don't know if it's the mainboard or the disk, since it works fine in knoppix but not in windows.

Im using a usb external hdd to backup the disk.

Use the overclockix customised knoppix cd.
