I have been looking in the forum about reruning the hardware detection script. I have added a new card (sound blaster) to my system after i did the hard disk installation of knoppix. I have tried all the tips in the debian help site about making sure the kernel has the modules, etc. I also modified the /etc/modules file by adding the correct module there. Still the sound card doesn't work. I notice when knoppix starts from the hard drive that it doesn't run the hard ware detection script everytime, it skips this part. Is there a way to force this script to run during a reboot?
