when i boot "knoppix26 noscsi" the system boots fine but when it gets to the /etc/fstab part it keeps writing "Disabling IRQ #18" about 100 times and finally finishes loading after about 2 minutes of repeating that line.

then when KDE loads, i open a shell but can't mount my sata hard drive. it says that it can't mount superblock. i tried the line "hdparm -X66 -d1 /dev/hdg" which is what i had to do when i boot under a 2.4 kernel. but that doesnt help either.

what am i doing wrong? thank you
