i cant get it to boot from the cd it gets stuck of stops at this pcmcia found/ starting cardmgr. and just sits there what do i do i dont even know what that is thanks

try different knoppix cheatcodes. Chances are that booting failed AFTER getting pcmcia running.

so, try stuff like
nousb noddc noscsi noapci


so, when you get the first boot prompt, type

knoppix screen=800x600 noddc noscsi nousb noapci
also, you can google knoppix cheatcodes.

note.. the 800x600 is specific to my laptop that I use. You may prefer the 1024x768 for example.
