Error changing lenguage

I'm changing lenguage of knoppix 3.4 to Catalan. I have removed all lenguage files, and installed the catalan package for kde. I start my KDE and it is in catalan, but when I configure something with C Compiler, it said me:
"C not support this locale"

any idea?

Another question is, also, what are the files where I can specify locales of the system?

1) I guess this means, that the errormessages of the c-compiler aren't displayed in catalan.

PS.: I would like to see FCB as second, can you please stop Real? (a german anarcho)

I'd the answer to my problem:
I'd defined in /etc/init.d/knoppix-autoconfig catalan lenguage as es_CA, but this is a mistake. catalan lenguage is defined by ca_ES.
After change it, everthing run much better
