would it be possible to get LyX packaged with the CD as well under editors. I use this application quite often and so do many others for writing technical reports. (nothing beats latex when it comes to writing technical reports, or any type of report in general).

The 3.3 versions of Knoppix and all before had it. Kanotix, too, has it.
