how to install dialup modem??

i am running knoppix 3.4. i got it installed in the hard disk. i would like to know how to configure the internal PCI modem (dialup), so it can be recognised from my machine?

I don't want to sound unsympathetic to your problem but my advice is to do what I've done about this. Get rid of the internal modem and get an external one. A lot of those internal modems are microsoft windows specific, also many of them steal bus cycles and slow down your machine. With the external modem there essentially is no installation and it will work with any machine and any os.
