Hey all...

I have knoppix 3.4 installed on my laptop. I have a Proxim 8471-wd wifi card.... and i cant get it to do much of anything..

If i run the Wlan configuration than it asks me the ssid, and stuff... i fill in everything i know. and it wont connect to the access point. Can i just fill in the ssid, and wep password, and leave the rest blank?

is there a way to just run a bunch of commands in console to set it up, that would be easier? Any commands that you think would help POST!!!!!

even if you dont have the same card, how did you set up your wireless card? HELP!.!.!.
