Can't mount reiserfs on Knoppix version 3.4

I booted this cd and found that it can't mount reiserfs partitions.

So to correct this I tired loading the reiserfs module with "modprobe reiserfs." After this, it still will not mount the partition. Any ideas?

Which error was given?

Is there a valid filesystem on the partition, or was it only partitioned for reiserfs?
mkfs.reiserfs /dev/hdg9

mount /dev/hdg9 /just/an/example -t reiserfs -o defaults
