Is mIRC available for knoppix?

[SunnyB]

have been able to get a number of windows programs to work using my copy of crossover office

including mirc and pcanywhere 9.0 (10-11 didnt work lucky kept old install cdrom around)

amazing how many windows programs crossover allows

How does x-over office compare to wine?
I haven't tried it yet but it may be worthwhile.

I only have have 8 machines in this office. Small by comaprison to
most small to mid-sized offices. Two of them are primarily Linux (Debian).
If I could find a way to run Autocad or find a decent, comparably priced
substitute, I would switch every machine in the engineering dept to Linux.

Microstation is the only candidate that I know of but it is 3 times the cost of Autocad.
I am not even certain that microstation will run on linux.

I may need to search for x-over and see about it.

could You give me more info?

Thanks

simply open a terminal and write xchat, then you should figure out since it looks similar to mirc
you can also connect to irc with gaim or bitchx
