Internet/Router Problems

Hi, im new to knoppix and im having trouble getting onto the internet

i connect to a single-port router thro a network card.

my setup

latest ver of knoppix livecd
Netgear FA311
DSL-W 906E

when i use the netcard setup app, if i choose eth1 it does detects dhcp ok, but i cant ping or connect to anything on the internet, if anyone has any ideas or solutions id be very greatful. dont forget im a noob, be gentle =D

Hmmm I just saw another post about this same card. Try:

sudo modprobe natsemi
sudo pump
sudo ifconfig -a

yea, sorry i forgot to mention i already tried all the methods on this board, so thats why i posted, last resort, i also got an error when doing the pump command, it said it failed, dont quite know why :/

have you set your i.s.p nameserver ? You can edit on /etc/resolv.conf.
