Change the message "Welcome to the KNOPPIX..."

Its there any way to change this message , i try editing linuxrc, but it still send me the same message....

I read that it can be do it recompiling the kernel...but how i do it??? :s

The message is inside the file linuxrc which is inside the file minirt24.gz and minirt26.gz

The fact is that i can edit succesfully the linuxrc file of minirt24.gsz, but when i boot the system i still recieve the same message instead of the message that i write...

Maybe im getting wrong????
