Type knoppix testcd at startup, Its probably a bad burn.
My new Knoppix CD ver 3.4 boots and starts doing its configuration processes, then stalls in the lollowing step with the message:
"Scanning for harddisk partitions and creating /etc/stab ... insmod: insmod: a module named input already exists .... insmod: insmod: insmod hid failed"

Help is sorely needed. Thanks

Coud you expand on that explanation? This is a CD from Linus Central.Originally Posted by firebyrd10
Thanks.
When you first boot, type knoppix testcd at the prompt.
Problem resolved. I was simply not waiting long enough for the boot process to complete - it looked completely inactive, but wasn't.
Thanks anyhow.
