How to install Linux driver for wirelesscard

I finally found the Linux version of my wireless card but I need to know where to install it... I am currently running KNOPPIX off my HDD, I knwo this must be an easy one for some... but im struggling here, plz help, thanks

Depends. What format is it in? file.tar.gz? Simply untar/gzip it and read the README and/or INSTALL.

tar xzvf file.tar.gz

Or for bzipped files:

tar xjvf file.tar.bz2
