can not start up after hd install

Hi after some months of wonderfull working with knoppix i am having a problem with the following.
After starting up knoppix by using lilo it is not possible to start up, this is what
i get............
I hope someone can help me to get knoppix working again?!?!?

Starting NIS services : YPBind (binding YP server.. -

the last minus sign is the cursor ......
and at this point nothing else happends!

*Usually* ypbind will time out and the boot process will continue. After it boots do:

update-rc.d -f ypbind remove

If you can't complete thte boot then boot up w/ Knoppix cd, mount and chroot into your hdd install then remove ypbind.
