Driverloader Error

Ok I'm have trouble getting LInuxant to work with my usb wifi adapter.
I've tried installing from dpkg and then I ran rpmbuild with the tar.gz but got the same

Read-Only file system error

Here is what I got after running make install with the rpm

I've tried this from root, and also tried changing permissions for the various files and directories. Would love to get this USB adapter working so I can get a online. I'm running a Dell Truemobile 1300 adapter.

I would even be ready to get an internal card if anyone knows of one that works from boot without all the hassle. I'll be installing Mandrake 10 next week sometime, but was running Knoppix to see if there where going to be problems with some of my hardware.

You can't install software to a live cd as it is a read-only file system.

THank you for clearing that up for me. I'll wait till I do a hdd install with Mandrake 10.
