Hallo,

ich habe einen neuen PC zusammen gebastelt und er funktioniert soweit einwandfrei. Wenn ich die Knoppix-CD einlege, so erscheint die o.a. Fehlermeldung:

MP-BIOS Bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC

Ich weiß nicht weiter, wäre nett, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte! Vielen Dank im Voraus.

Have you booted with the noapic option? There have been previous issues with these 825x chipsets. Assuming you can boot you would probably see some errors in cat /proc/interrupts. If you've installed to the hard drive I'd suggest adding the 'noapic' to your append line.
