( sorry for posting the same again but the subject was messed up ... )

i just downloaded knoppix V3.6-2004-08-16_DE
it works fine when booting with kernal 2.4xxxx
but when booting knoppix26 it cant use the token-ring card.

it is a MADGE smart 16/4 PCI ringnode (BM) 2
when looking at the messages with demesg
it tells the firmware *.bin ( don't remember the name )
is missing!
because the adapter works fine with the other kernel
this should be something with the configuration ....
