Knoppix 3.6 & HP nx9005 Notebook

knoppix 3.6 doesn't boot on my HP nx9005 (BIOS is up to date: Version 1.59)

try'd failsafe mode, the same...

knoppix 3.4 is running perfect on the same machine.

does anyone have the same situation/problem ?

Gotta start with the obvious. Did you run the "testcd" cheatcode to make sure the CD is good?

...the cd is ok, i've installed the 3.6 from the same cd to harddisk on another machine.
knoppix 3.4 is working ok on the nx9005, so i thought the 3.6 should run too...

What about booting into the 2.6 kernel with Knoppix26 at boot?

I know it's strange being it worked on older versions but I believe they completely rebuild the kernel between versions so it stands to make sense that what once worked may not now.

I also did a quick google and found this page on running Debian Linux on a nx9005 that may provide some clues.
