LiveCustomize and write to session on LiveCD

Has anyone enough knowledge and skills to write a script that does the following:

- Save settings directly to the liveCD into a new session.

I know that the script knoppix.sh and the settings are loaded automatically if they are on the CD. So why not write it to the CD and next time you boot, your settings are still there without any boot params and external storage-device !!!!

Easier said than done. :/

Something I've been kicking around doing is having Knoppix configs loaded from HTTP and/or FTP.

Not as snazzy as being on the CD, but I bet it's much easier to accomplish.
