Hi all,

I have some problem with a Xircom RBEM56G-100 lan / modem PCMCIA card
on my Omnibook VT6200: After establishing a modem connection for the first
time after booting the computer, the connection fails after a few seconds.

Kppp keeps alive, but the data rate slows down to 0 bytes/s. With a second
dialin everything seems o.k. I even did a Flash update of the Xircom card.

Furthermore sometimes the pppd daemon fails with signal 16, with means
something like "modem hangs up" (sorry no further details, I'm not sitting
at my linux box at the moment).

Any further hints?
