When running from live cde hit ctrl alt F2 or alt F2 I forget then at the prompt type knoppix-installer. Follow through making sure the x or dot is in the parrenthesis by hitting the space bar then enter. You must have your drive partitioned first or run QTparted from the cd, which I know nothing about.
