Is there any way to change that on the image? Is there a file I can edit while in Magic ISO or something and reburn the .iso file with the keyboard layout already set?

call me a n00b, but since your link opens as a text file, does that mean I can edit the iso in a text editor and change the keyboard layout that way? I'm worried doing that will corrupt the .iso file.

MaldiGola, you can indeed edit the iso in a text editor, but make certain you don't change the size of any files (use overwrite and not insert mode), probably easier to just use sed or something similar to replace lang=de with lang=ie (or whatever you want). It's easier to extract the iso, edit the boot/isolinux folder (change the language and add/edit any other boot options you want), regenerate the MD5Sums file (optional but testcd won't work without it) and then remake the iso (using the full mkisofs command from the Remastering guide to ensure it is bootable).

    Changelog details

    Hey
Can someone plz briefly post the significant changes since the 3.6 (new packages, services, significant updates, etc), since the changelog was not posted on the web, and the analyzing met in the previous replies doesn't reflect all the points. If there are already any opinions formed please post them too - so the forum surfers like me who still hasn't get the new version will know is it worthy to. (Though I know it is )
    Thanks ahead!

    P.S
I use knoppix to bring a new audience to the open source community, and sure knoppix is the BEST distro for this purpose!

    At the boot prompt, enter

    Code:
    knoppix24 lang=en
    or
    Code:
    knoppix26 lang=en
    (new kernel)
