i get this weird error when booting knoppix

when i put in my knoppix cd and try to boot from it without any cheat codes on

i get an error about a panic and says the drive isn't mountable and then the computer just freezes and capslock, scroll lock lights flash and i have to turn it off by the button on my computer is there anyway to stop this like some possible way i have had it run fine before then this just happened

its a fat32 Hd with Windows Me on it

Any help to fixing this problem would be greate thanks.

You already knew the answer. Use cheatcodes.

sorry if this sounds stupid but what ones can i use to get it to work before i didn't need cheat codes to get it to work but now i do ?

Without cheatcode
try with different kernel'
<enter> will get you to kernel 2.4
knoppix26 , will get you to kernel 2.6...

ok i have it booted up and im trying the poor mans install but it is at 97% and has stoped jsut my computer is rattling and its not moving is this meant to happen it has been on 97% for about 20mins now
