knoppix on laptop (compaq 2563)

i have a compaq presario 2563. p4 700 mb ram wi fi radeon 9600 card with 64 shared memory. i have a knoppix cd. when i boot up my laptop iwth the cd knoppix starts and the laptop hangs at the autoconfiguring progress bar and so i am not able to start the laptop with knoppix on it. please help.... somebody.

try booting with the option noscsi (so type something like

knoppix lang=us noscsi

at the prompt).

i had a similar problem on my toshiba sat and that solved it for me.
