FYI, my lilos (ONLY set up on partitions, not MBR!) like to find every darn OS in the system and list them in the bootup menu.

That gets mighty cluttered, since they need to be told what they can find, and what they should not.

Accordingly, I just go into each disrto's lilo.conf file and hash out the OSes I don't want to use...just set the Default to 2.6.7 and comment out all the other listings, and remove the timer from the prompt line above this. That way you won't even see the lilo splash screen/menu after running /sbin/lilo.conf -v...it just boots straight into the 2-penguin loadup screen.

I use G.A.G. for a bootloader, as it is much nicer to my MBR than Lilo or Grub; and that way I can boot XP, 98 or any of my currently-installed distros boot blocks at will.
