create_compressed_fs KNOPPIX killed

hi there,

I went through the detailed remastering howto, but when i tried to
make the big KNOPPIX file I got -

....
....
[ 9] Block# 1770 size ......
Killed

And the KNOPPIX filesize was 0.

Everything else worked fine upto that point.

Any ideas what I might have done wrong?

Do you have 1G of memory? If not you need a swap partition so that your combined RAM (swap and system) equal 1G.

Looks like it is a problem with not having enough memory.
